About

mathwalks.org is a collaborative effort to provide content that will help see the world through a mathematical lens. This perception can take many forms: using mathematical ideas and techniques to learn more about the world around us, noticing instances in which mathematical principles have made their imprint on the natural and built environments we work in, or providing opportunities to enjoy the beauty inherent in mathematical concepts, to name a few.

mathwalks.org is grateful for the collaboration of the National Museum of Mathematics and talkSTEM. Notable contributors to mathwalks.org include Glen Whitney and the National Museum of Mathematics. Note that posts in the “MoMath” category were originally posted on the website of the National Museum of Mathematics, and as such may have different licensing than the remainder of mathwalks.org.
